Who’s ready for cooler weather and warmer beverages?  I start everyday with a cup of coffee, no matter what the temperature is. But as soon as Starbucks and Dunkin’ announce it’s time to start serving Pumpkin Spice…everything…I am ready!

I know every time I go thru the drive-thru for one of my favorite fall drinks the kids always ask for one. But all that caffeine… Is caffeine safe for kids? Well, you can read more about caffeine and kids here, but to give you a hint…kids really don’t need caffeine. So if we help in limiting caffeine in kids, that’s not a bad thing. And, trust me, the kids won’t miss the caffeine in this yummy Caffeine Free Pumpkin Latte.

This kid-friendly version is made with a few simple ingredients and caffeine-free! Plus, it’s made with pumpkin, and pumpkin is actually really good for us!

Easy Kid Friendly Pumpkin Latte

Key Ingredients To The Perfect Kid Friendly Pumpkin Latte

  • Milk – We used almond milk
  • Pumpkin puree
  • Brown Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon

You could also sprinkle on some pumpkin spice if you want that extra dose of pumpkin deliciousness.

Does your child like the taste of coffee?  Add in a shot of decaf espresso or a touch of decaf coffee to keep this latte kid-friendly and caffeine free.

Don’t worry parents – just mix with a shot of espresso or your morning coffee if you need that caffeine pick-me-up. This pumpkin latte recipe is also vegan and dairy-free! Have a nut allergy? Swap for unsweetened vanilla soymilk or regular dairy milk instead.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Heat almond milk in small saucepot over medium heat. Once warmed, add pumpkin puree, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix until fully incorporated.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Sprinkle with pumpkin spice if desired.
Add in a shot of espresso for adults wanting that caffeine boost.
Kids like the taste of coffee? Use decaf espresso or add in a splash of decaf coffee.
