Healthy Stocking Stuffers for Kids

As a kid I remember waking up Christmas morning and racing with my brother to see who got to our stocking first.  Christmas stockings were always so much fun to me.  There were so many fun gifts in there, as if they were getting us ready for the gifts under the tree.  They could be filled with anything from candy to socks to small toys. I love seeing the same reaction on my kid’s faces on Christmas morning.  They race to their stockings and dump them out onto the floor with excitement.  In place of candy I opt for non-candy treats and anything I think they need or will have fun with.

New York City in December is a fantastic place to be, especially when you’re in the produce industry! On December 3, the Eastern Produce Council and Produce Business held the 5th annual New York Produce Show and Conference focused on Celebrating Fresh. Held for the first time in the newly renovated Javits Center, this year’s show had over 400 companies exhibiting, hosted a keynote breakfast featuring a panel of top retail “Thought Leaders,” and honored Theresa Nolan with the EPC Woman of Distinction award.
