Super Green Smoothie

Green smoothies have been all the rage in recent years, and with good cause – they’re a great way to sneak in extra nutrients from healthy greens such as spinach. In this recipe, kids won’t be able to taste the spinach, but will be getting an extra boost of healthy.


  1. 2 cups 1% milk
  2. 1 banana
  3. 1/2 Mexican Hass avocado
  4. 1 cup baby spinach, gently packed
  5. 1 cup sliced apples, chopped
  6. 3 tablespoons ground flax seed
  7. 2 tablespoons honey


  1. Blend milk, banana, avocado, spinach, apple, flax seed and honey in blender until smooth.

Suggested Sides

Whole wheat toast spread with 1 Tbsp. nut butter and 1 Tbsp. fruit jam
